Notes:
The Wild Unknown is an artist's collective named after a line from the Bob Dylan song Isis - "So I cut off my hair and I rode straight away, For the wild unknown country where I could not go wrong". This collective seems to be aiming for a unified
branding across very different products and media. They describe
themselves as creators of music (the band); visual art (the tarot,
calendars, art prints); jewelry and curios (glass or crystal prisms,
etc) and books ; as well as purveyors of a
certain lifestyle/aesthetic (bohemian urban transplanted to woodsy
but-not-too-rural environments) via a cabin owned by them, were they hold parties and musical events .
There are no human figures pictured, only objects, plants and animals. The artwork is created in fine pen drawings, subtly coloured in small areas with watercolour.
The Majors have a number at the top and the title at the bottom of the card. The court cards are father, mother , son and daughter and have their title at the bottom, the minors have a number at the top.
The deck is enclosed in a hard-cover box, which has a black ribbon pull inside and is covered with intricate drawings. It came with a fold-out newsprint drawing and guide.
