Notes:
The artwork was created from a variety of mediums including pastels, tempera, inks and watercolor. There are two editions, one large Special Edition (cards 15,24 x 22,86 cm) in a box limited to 30 sets and a Standard Size Edition (cards 10 x 15 cm) limited to 100 numbered decks in a book-style cover tied with a ribbon. The Cards are numbered with Roman numerals, titles are in Italian, the backs are blank.

Ferrara is in northern Italy, not far from Bologna. Each card depicts a historic or mystical time and important characters that populated this town. The pictures show the Ferrarese ancient religious and esoteric history, including such dark themes as the Inquisition and the Black Plague. As an underlying theme, some of the cards include unicorns which have a symbolic tie to the royal Este family that commissioned a great deal of esoteric art during their impressive reign, including the famous astrological 'Hall of Months' series of frescoes which can still be visited in the Schifanoia Palace.

Also enclosed is a leaflet in English with a brief explanation about each card.
